Funeral Service for Adeline E. Ruroede age 97 of O'Neill, NE will 10:30 Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Orchard, NE with Pastor Kohlmeyer. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery at Orchard, NE. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, NE with Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Adeline passed away August 10, 2016 at Golden Living Center in O'Neill, NE. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.snidermemorialfh.com Adeline Edna Ruroede was born on August 30, 1918, to James and Rose(Hajek) Podany at Stanton, NE. She grew up in Orchard where she attended school. On January 6, 1936 she was united in marriage to Delbert J. Carl. To this union 3 children were born, Marvin, Delbert "Sonny" and Ruby, where they resided in Ewing, NE. On February 16, 1957 Adeline married Art Ruroede at the Clearwater Lutheran Church. They made their home South of Ewing where they raised turkeys and developed a dairy farm. Art passed away on August 5, 1967. Adeline continued to operate her dairy farm for several years. She then retired and moved to Orchard, NE where she lived until being accepted into the Golden Living Center in O'Neill, NE. Adeline was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Orchard and also belonged to the Ladies Aide. In her spare time she enjoyed baking kolaches, frying chicken, and was the best mashed potato maker. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting and reading her bible. She is survived by children; Ruby Williamson of Orchard, NE, Delbert "Sonny" Carl Jr. and wife Patricia of Ewing, NE and daughter-in-law Janet Carl of Manhattan, KS. 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great Grandchildren, and a sister Virginia Zemeck of Washington. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Art, son Marvin, bothers Bill, Jim and Ed. Sister Evelyn, son-in-law Richard Williamson, 2 sister-in- laws, 1 brother-in-law and a great grandson.
