Shirley M. Kloke (Plainview)

Services for Shirley M. Kloke, 75, of Plainview, NE will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10:30AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainview, NE.  Visitation will be held from 5-7PM, December 28th, 2010 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainview, NE with a rosary to follow at 7PM.  She died Saturday, December 25th at the Plainview Manor.      Shirley M. Kloke was born February 15th, 1935 in Battle Creek, NE at her family home, to Gertrude and Walter Leslie Daniel.  She attended country school around the Battle Creek area and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1952.  For several years she was employed with Dr. Earl Slaughter.          On April 12, 1956, Shirley married Theodore E. Kloke at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce.  To this union they had four children, Terry, Cynthia, Todd, and Troy.  They lived in Norfolk, NE  until 1974 until moving to Center, NE.  In 1978, they moved to Plainview, NE.    Shirley was involved with Catholic Daughters, Alter Society, Guild, and many pitch clubs.  Shirley enjoyed making bracelets and sharing them with friends and family.  Shirley also was very involved in making crafts and attending craft shows.  She also loved to garden and enjoyed going to farmers markets selling her gardening produce.      She is survived by her husband Ted, marriage of 54 years, Terry of Lincoln, NE, Cindy of Norfolk, NE, Todd (Dawn) of Folsom, CA, and Troy (Heather) of Omaha, NE.  Shirley is also survived by her grandchildren: Aaron, Wendie, Abby, Jacob, Sarah, Bennett, and Haiden.  Also surviving is her sister, Donna Reimers of Valentine, NE and many nieces and nephews.  Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Daniel, and her parents.
