Nona H. Barnes

Funeral services for Nona H. Barnes age 98 of Plainview will be held Monday Febr. 14th at 11:00 at the United Methodist Church in Plainview. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation for Nona will be 1 hour prior to service ath the United Methodist Church. Nona Died Febr. 10th 2011 at the Pierce Manor.

Nona H. Barnes was born September 6, 1912 at Tilden, Nebraska to parents Peter Jensen and Wolborg (Christophersen) Jensen. On August 1, 1934 Nona married John L. Barnes at Oakdale, Nebraska.

Throughout Nona's life she loved to garden and raise produce. Nona enjoyed canning the produce so she could enjoy it throughout the season. Nona aslo enjoyed embroidery and adored spending time with her grand children.

Nona is Survived by her son Herb and wife Kathy Barnes of Wahoo, Nebraska. Daughters Donna and husband Ray Hladky of Tekamah, Nebraska. Betty and husband Bob Kubica of Connecticut. Marjorie and husband Walt Friedrich of Plainview, Nebraska and Son-in- Law Henery Ruterbories Jr. 23 grand children,great grand chidren and great-great grandchildren

Nona is Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Barnes, son James A. Barnes, Daughter Norma Ruterbories, 6 brothers, 1 sister, 3 grand children, 1 great grand child and several half brothers and sisters.
