Memorial services for Winetta Jean Pittack age 88 of Surprise, AZ. will be held Wednesday April,6th at 11:00 am. at the Zion Lutheran church in Plainview, NE. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview.
Winetta Jean Reigle was born December 16, 1922 at Primrose, Nebraska to Thomas Amos Reigle and Maude Leila Hetrick. She grew up in Brunswick, Nebraska. After graduation from high school she worked in California doing office and lab work. Upon returning to Nebraska she taught rural school.
Winetta was united in marriage to Edwin A. Pittack November 25, 1949 at Fairbury, Nebraska. They resided in Plainview throughout their married life. They had one son, Lance Edwin Pittack born June 19, 1951.
After Edwin’s death in June of 2000, Winetta moved permanently to their winter home at Sun Village in Surprise, Arizona. Winetta died suddenly in her home March 27, 2011.
Winetta was a full time home maker attending various club activities, playing golf, and bridge. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and family. During her latter years she enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include: One son and daughter in law, Lance & Becky Pittack; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jason & Jasmine Pittack and Josh & Kara Aufenkamp; three great grandchildren, Trenton Aufenkamp, Taylor Pittack, and Payton Pittack; one brother and sister in law, Virgil & Virginia of Springfield, So. Dakota; one sister in law, Muriel Reigle of Oceanside, California; sister in laws, Norma Pittack of Billings, Montana, Norma Pittack of North Platte, Nebraska, Leota Pittack of Plainview, Nebraska, Esther Pittack of Verdigree, Nebraska, Sharalyn Johnson and brother in law Mervin Johnson of Surprise, Arizona, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three sisters, three brother in laws, two brothers, and one sister in law.
Memorials will be sent to Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.
