Steven James Schwager

Memorial services for Steven James Schwager age 53 of Omaha will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Orchard, Nebraska. The Pastor Eric Ford will be officiating. Inurnment will be in the Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard, Nebraska. Steven passed away August 18, 2011 in Omaha, Nebraska.


Steven James Schwager was born to Harold and Florence Schwager on October 7, 1957 at Neligh, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed in the Orchard Evangelical United Brethren Church. Steven received his education in the Orchard Public School, graduating in 1975. He then attended the Omaha Art School where he received his degree in Commercial Art & Graphic Design, which he used in his career.


Steven loved life. He was a very caring person with a great sense of humor who loved to travel. He died in his home in Omaha, NE of natural causes on August 18th, 2011 at the age of 53.


He is survived by his mother and step-father, Florence (Schwager) and herb Ziegenbein of Winnetoon, NE; sisters, Diane (John) Hoff of Norfolk, NE and Linda Deiterman of Orchard, NE; brother, Ryan (Jennifer) Schwager of Orchard, NE; nephews and nieces, Josh Deiterman, Adam Deiterman, Sarah Deiterman, Ben Deiterman, Caden Schwager, Ryder Schwager and Kennedy Schwager; step-sisters Susan (Reg) Green of Creighton, NE, Betty (Wendell) Rohrer of Verdigre, NE; step-brother Herb Jr. (Lisa) Ziegenbein of Plainview, NE and several step nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Schwager and his grandparents.
