Ellen Della Folck

Ellen Della Folck, age 84, of Plainview, Nebraska, died October 10, 2011 at Plainview Manor.

Ellen was born July 4, 1927, to Andrew and Della Andreasen at Ohiowa, Nebraska. She had three sisters and one brother. Ellen married Glenn Folck on February 21, 1948, in Bloomfield, Nebraska, and they are the parents of three daughters and two sons. Ellen lived in Bloomfield, Nebraska with her family until they moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, in 1971. In 2006, Ellen and Glenn moved back to Plainview, Nebraska.

Ellen and her husband, Glenn, owned and managed the Folck Shoe Store in Bloomfield, Nebraska. She enjoyed sewing and making ceramics. Ellen served for many years as the president of the American Legion Auxiliary in both Bloomfield, Nebraska, and Bentonville, Arkansas. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Glenn Folck, of Plainview, Nebraska, five children, Kieth & Linda Folck of Rogers, Arkansas, Eileen Johnson & Bob Gillis of Plainview, Nebraska, Doug & Jo Heidtbrink of Malcolm, Nebraska, Larry & Mary Holloway of Hiwasse, Arkansas, and Dewey Folck of Bentonville, Arkansas, sisters, Lucille Kauth of Bloomfield, Nebraska, and Bessie Dowty of Baudette, Minnesota, and brother John Andreasen of Seward, Nebraska, sixteen grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew & Della Andresen, and a sister, Janie Andreasen.

A memorial service was held at United Methodist Church in Plainview, Nebraska, on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Robert Holloway and Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
