Alta and Leonard enjoyed many country card clubs and she continued to participate in several card clubs after they moved to town. She took great pride in her garden and all her flowers. She could make just about anything grow. Alta was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed having coffee with her friends. Her family was also a great source of pride for her, she was very devoted to all of her grandchildren, and they each held a special place in her heart. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always had sugar cookies ready and was rarely shy about voicing her opinion.

Alta is survived by her children Lois (Allan) Norris of Plainview and Dale (Connie) Petersen of Papillion; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and four sisters.
