Evaline J. Hoeppner (Osmond)

Services for Evaline J. Hoeppner, 74, of Osmond will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond with Rev. Gary Trowbridge officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening December 18, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ashburn Funeral Home in Osmond. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetary in Osmond.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Stech, Benjamin Stech, Aaron Stech, Lou Hoeppner, David Stout and John Hoeppner. Honorary pallbearers are Kelsey Stech, Shanelle Stech, Elise Reinke, Carmon Reinke, Traci Stech, Crystal Stech, Markie Christiansen and Evan Timmerman.

Organist is Jeanne Oltjenbruns.

Mrs. Hoeppner died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond following an illness.

Evaline was born May 13, 1938 to James and Eva (Halverson) Thompson at Wayne, NE. She attended Knox Co. country schools and Winnetoon public school through the 8th grade and then transferred to Creighton Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1957. After graduation she was employed by the Creighton News.

On October 4, 1957 she was united in marriage to Dwain E. Hoeppner at Christ Lutheran Church in Bazille Mills, NE. They made their home in Creighton until 1961 when they moved to Osmond.

She was employed many years by Dr. David Jones DDS as a dental assistant. She was also employed at Chick’s Grocery and Gordon’s Variety Store in Osmond. Evaline was a woman of many talents and she always had a crafty needlework project or a book in her hands. Camping was another favorite pastime of hers.

Evaline is survived by two daughters and their spouses: Terri and Ronald Stech and SuEllyn and Dennis Reinke; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Klaire Evaline; and sister-in-laws Janet Thompson of Hastings, Shirley Greiner of Seward, and Hilda Wecker of Lincoln; brother-in-laws Kenneth Hoeppner of Pierce and Rodney Hoeppner of Bellwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwain, her parents and her brother, Lawrence Thompson; sister-in-laws, Erma Lackas, Verna Mae Anderson, Lorraine Ronnefeldt, Dorothy Erickson, and Mary Lou Born; brother-in-laws; Milford Hoeppner and Lyle Hoeppner.
