Jay Allen Brand (Plainview)

Jay Allen Brand age 49 of Plainview was called to the Lord on January 13, 2013. His final days were spent with his loved ones surrounding him at the University of Minnesota while waiting for a lung transplant. Although his life was cut short, he was able to live it to the fullest, savoring and cherishing every moment. He touched the lives of many through his lifetime and understood the meaning of quality of life. He loved to fish, cook, spend time with family and friends, and loved his dog dearly. During his illness, he spent most of his time with his partner in life, Stephanie, watching television and cooking, spending time with his grandkids, and spending time with his dog at his home in Plainview. Although his body began to give up to the disease, his fighting spirit let him enjoy as much life as he could before peacefully ascending to heaven. He is survived by his partner in life, his brother, three daughters, and four grandchildren.

The funeral services for Jay Brand will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday January 17th, at the Congregational Church in Plainview. Burial will follow the service and will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview.
