Funeral services for Leota Pittack, 94, Plainview Ne, will be held Thursday October 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Foster Ne. Pastor Jerome Leckband will officiate. Internment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview Ne. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster. Kristi Leckband will be the organist and congregation hymns will be Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, Rock of Ages, and What a Friend We Have in Jesus.

Leota was born on March 11, 1920 to Albert and Louise (Kuhl) Buss. She was baptized and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce Ne. She graduated from Pierce High School in 1938. She married Marvin Pittack on March 31, 1940. After their marriage, they lived in various Pierce County locations until arriving at the farm 10 miles south of Plainview. They later semiretired to a home in Norfolk Ne..

Leota lived her entire life in northeast Nebraska and enjoyed cooking, crafts, and being a full time homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as the Ladies Aid Society. She will be remembered for her ever ready smile and cheerful disposition.

Survivors include her son Dellis (Janice) Pittack, Plainview, daughter Dorla (Jim) Brunke, Johnson City Tn, four granddaughters Teresa ( Wayne) Hansen, Pierce, Barbara (Bill) Bonta, Plainview, Jennifer (Kevin) Stempel, Schnecksville Pa, Gretchen (Matt) Brunke/Woody, Grand Lake Co, three sisters, Her "Twin", Leola Krehnke", Lincoln Ne, Delilah Johnson, Battle Creek Ne, Winell Suckstorf, Pierce, Sisters-in-law, Sharlyn (Toots) Johnson, Sunrise, AZ. Norma Pittack, North Platte Ne, Norma Pittack, Billings Mt; four great grand children, seven great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, brother Melvin Buss and three granddaughters, Annette, Brenda, and Melissa Pittack.
