Harold Doerr (Plainview)

Funeral services for Harold Doerr age 90 of Plainview will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30th at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM. On Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. With the Rev. David Kuhfal and Rev. Jonathan Meraz officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview. Jeanne Oltjenbruns will be serving as organist for the congregational hymns “Children of the Heavenly Father”, “I Know that my Redeemer Lives”, “Just As I Am” Bearers will be David Doerr, Dellis Doerr, Gary Doerr, Larry Doerr, Leon Kremeier and Lyle Liibbe.

Harold Doerr was born January 27, 1925, near Creighton to John and Emma (Anders) Doerr and passed away May 24, 2015 at the Plainview Manor.

Harold grew up on the family farm 6 ¾ miles north of Plainview, and attended country school at West Highland Dist. #142. He was baptized at Golgotha Lutheran Church and and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Harold never married.

Harold worked on the family farm for a number of years, then worked several years for Boeing Aircraft Co. in Seattle, WA. Later returning to Plainview where he was employed by the Associated Milk Producers Inc.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harlan, Norris and Dennis and Sisters: Dorothy Liibbe and her husband Clarence and one infant sister. Sister-In-Law Helen H. Doerr.

Harold is survived by his sister, Fern and husband Lawrence Kremeier of Fergus Falls, MN. Brothers, Myron and wife Shirley of Plainview, Marvin and wife Lillian of Petersburg, IL. Sister-In-Laws Elaine Doerr of Plainview, NE. and Sharon Doerr of Longview, WA. Also Many nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. Along with his family of friends at the Plainview Manor.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview or the Plainview Manor.
