Arthur E. Golter (Orchard)

Services for Arthur E. Golter, 88, of Orchard, Nebraska will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, at St. Peters
Lutheran Church. Rev. Marcel Kohlmeyer will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Orchard with burial in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Christian Golter, Eric Golter, Justin Golter, Marty Lowe, John Skogan, and John Headid.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Golter, Bill Ziegenbein, Dick Marcellis, Jack McGinn, Stan Clifton, and
Elden Schacht.

Arthur Ernest Golter passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Faith Regional Health Services in
Norfolk, Nebraska. He was born in Norfolk, Nebraska to Gus and Elise Golter on June 4, 1927.
Art married Shirley Anne Faulhaber on April 10, 1945, and shared 62 years. They lived at Orchard where
they farmed and ranched.

In 1963, they moved to Osmond, Nebraska and bought the Goiter's Grocery Store. While living in
Osmond, Art volunteered at Osmond Fire Department. In 1974, they sold the grocery store and moved
back to Orchard, Nebraska.

Art enjoyed visiting with his many friends while they owned and operated the Royal Tavern in Royal,
Nebraska. He loved riding motorcycles and was the co-founder of the "Nite Owls" motorcycle club. Art
was a kind and generous person.

He is survived by sons Alan and wife Eileen, Greg and wife Kathie, Bill and wife Debra; a daughter Janis; 7
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother Paul Golter.
Preceding his death were his wife, Shirley Anne Golter; his parents, Gus and Elise Golter; and his
brother, Werner Golter.
