OSMOND - Services for Josephine Wingert, 94, of Osmond will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ashburn Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Osmond General Hospital.

Josephine Sophie (Widhalm) Wingert was born April 22, 1915, to Florian and Mary Zlabinger Widhalm at Pierce. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School at Pierce, graduating in 1929. She then helped at home and worked as a hired girl.
On April 30, 1935, Josephine was united in marriage to Edward Wingert at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Pierce. The couple spent the first 40 years of married life farming, 27 of those years on a farm north of Osmond where their son and his wife now live. The couple moved into Osmond in 1975. Josephine had been a resident of the Osmond General Hospital Care Center for 2 1/2 years.
Josephine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond, its ladies guild and Christian Mothers, National Catholic Society of Foresters and Homemakers Club and Sunnydale Club.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Joan and Don Streich, Jerome and Marian Wingert, Helen and Dallas Steckelberg, Robert and Sue Wingert of Osmond, Mark and Glenda (Bahr) Wingert of Omaha and Rose and Steve Becker of Randolph; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents Florian and Mary Widhalm; brothers John, Joe Frank, Florian, Fritz, Leo, Vincent, Louis and Karl Widhalm; sisters Anna Weyers, Mary Hoffman, Rose Wietfeld, Agnes Fischer, Clara Peschel; and great-grandchildren Katie Jo, Ty Lawrence, Isaac Todd and Arnold Jerome Stewart.
