Barrie F. Braden

Funeral Sevices for Barrie F. Braden age 66 of Niobrara will be held at 2:00PM. Thursday October 8, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Osmond. Officiating will be pastor Carol Jean Stapleton. Visitation will be from 5-8PM. Wednesday at the Ashurn Funeral Home in Osmond. In-Urnment will be at the Magnet Cemetery at a later date. Barrie died at the St. Joseph Care Center in Norfolk October 4, 2009.
Barrie Braden was born November 8, 1942 to in Winnepeg, Canada.
He and his parents moved to California when he was a young boy. Barrie then moved to Randoplh, NE. in 1968 where he ran a grocery store. He then moved to Osmond and worked for Petersons & Sons. Berrie was a memeber of the Osmond Fire Dept. and a member of the Osmond American Legion.
In 1983 Barrie married Peggy Peterson at the Methodist Church in Osmond. The couple ran the Bowling Alley for a number of years and also did lawn care.
Barrie is preceded in death by his parents and Father-In-Law. Barrie hat three daughters and two sons. Niki Gerdes of Pierce, Jacki Braden of Long Beach, CA. and Stephani Bauer of Fremont, NE. Sons Brian Lackas and wife Marci of Wausa, NE. Micheal Lackas and wife Lisa of Racine, WI. 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
