Edward Dewane Allen (Plainview)

Funeral services for Edward DeWane Allen, age 74 of Plainview will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Plainview with Pastor Nathan Metzger officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation for Edward Allen will be from 4-8PM, Monday, Oct. 26 at the Ashburn Funeral Home in Painview. Edward passed away Saturday October 24, at the Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Edward was born June 16, 1935 at Boone, Iowa to Elmer and Dolly (Gordon) Allen. On January 30, 1967 he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Nielsen, To this union were three children, Andreas, Nancy, and Sherry. Through his life Ed was employed at the Plainview manor, Dick Grace Ford and the City Of Plainview for many years. He enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed casino trips with his family and friends. His greatest joy in life were his grandchildren. At the time of his death he was enjoying refurbishing his father-in-laws John Deere tractors. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his wife Norma, son & his wife Andreas & Christinia Allen of Omaha, daughters Nancy Allen of Plainview and Sherry Elwood and fiance Keith Sanders of Plainview, borther Arthur Allen of Boone, Iowa, sisters Etta Mae Daniels of Pilot Mound, Iowa and June Pearson of Plainview; grandchildren Briann Allen, Dustin Christiansen, Kelli Allen, Trenton Sinkler, Heather Sinkler, Tiffani Elwood & Holly Elwood. Pallbearers will be Larry Daniels, David Daniels, John Daniels, Albert Friedrich, Craig Gentzler and Steve Allen.
