Lois M. Petersen (Plainview)

Funeral services for Lois M. Petersen, 66, of Plainview will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Plainview. The Rev. Nathan Metzger will officiate. Burial will be at PleasantView Cemetery in Plainview.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Plainview. Ashburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Lois Marlene (Mindrup) Petersen was born August 6, 1943 to William and Helen (Rohlfs) Mindrup in Creighton. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. She graduated from Osmond High School.
On February 3, 1963 she married Larry Petersen. To this union four children were born, LaRay, LaVon, LaNette and LaVern. She enjoyed playing cards, garage sales, and working with the girls at the Plainview Public and Osmond General Hospitals. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Plainview her children LaRay Petersen and wife Angie, LaVon Forbes and husband Craig all of Brunswick, LaNette Goetzinger and husband Chad, LaVern Petersen and wife Cynthia all of Plainview, sister Elaine Schumacher and husband Marvin, 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Helen Mindrup.
