Dorothy Luree (Rodgers) Friedrich (Plainview)

Funeral Service for Dorothy L. Friedrich age 87 of Plainview will be held at 10:30 am. Dec 17th at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.  Visitation for Dorothy Friedrich will be 1 Hr. prior to service at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.  Dorothy died on her birthday December 14, 2009 at the Osmond General Hosiptal.     Dorothy Luree (Rodgers) Friedrich was born Dec. 14, 1922 in Osmond, Nebraska to Christina Christiansen and Dr. C.E. Rodgers.  She was confirmed into Plainview Zion Lutheran Churcn in Jan. 25, 1948 by Rev. Theodore Stolp.  Dorothy graduated from Osmond High School in 1940.     On October 18, 1943 Dorothy married George Clinton Friedrich at Pensacola, Florida.  To this union she was blessed with four children; George Clinton Jr., Tim, Dorie, and Carl.      Dorothy was employed in the office of the Los Angeles Shipyards during WW II. at San Pedro, California, Melvin's Paint and Appliance in Plainview and was a member of the Klick-N-Klatter club along with being a full time mother and homemaker.     Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  She is survived by her four children; George Clinton Jr. Friedrich and wife Carol of Basset, NE., Tim Friedrich and his wife Elaine of Yuma, AZ., Daughter Dorrie McDonald of Plainview, NE. and son Carl Friedrich and wife Ellie of Fremont, NE., 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.j
