Hilda Anna Buhrman (Pierce)

Funeral services for Hilda Anna (Kumm) Buhrman age 89 of Pierce will be held Saturday March 13, at 2:00 PM. At the Golgotha Lutheran Church in rural Wausa. Visitation will be One hour prior to service with burial in the Golgotha Lutheran Cemetery.
Hilda one of seven children was born July 22, 1920 to parents Ludwig and Nellie (Opkis) Kumm near Creighton, Nebraska. The family moved to Presho, South Dakota for several years. At about the age of 3 Hilda and her family moved back to Nebraska near Osmond during her childhood and school years.
Hilda was a graduate of Osmond High School in the class of 1938. Hilda married Walter F. Buhrman at the Golgotha Lutheran Church in Rural Wausa on December 10, 1939. The couple farmed many years and lived near Wausa, McLean, and Plainview, retiring and moving to Norfolk, NE. Hilda worked at the Northeast Tech Collage and St. Josephs Nursing Home and later moved to Pierce.
Hilda is survived by her children; Janice and Dellis Pittack of Plainview; Marlene and Phil (Jr.) Bowling of Pierce; Diana and Harold Gerdes of Ashland; Betty and Butch Babcock of Winsted MN. And Dale Buhrman of Pierce. Hilda has 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, 5 sisters, 4 brothers, 3 grand-daughters and 1 great grandson.
