Wilma Lucille (Altimus) Statler

Funeral services for Wilma Lucille Statler age 86 of Orchard will be held 2:00 PM. Saturday April 24th at the Ashburn Funeral Home in Plainview. Burial will be in the Eden Valley Cemetery.

Wilma Lucille(Altimus)Statler was born to William Edwards and Bernice Cassie Altimus on September 16, 1923 in Sioux City, Ia. Wilma graduated High School in Sioux City, Ia. and was united in marriage to Clarence B. Statler on Febr. 14, 1940 at Pender, Ne. To this union four children were born, Barb, Sam, Jim and Bonnie.

Wilma worked various jobs her whole life. In 1989 she retired from Northwest Airlines as Head Cook. In the Summer of 1989, she and her husband bought a home in Orchard, Ne. and lived their. In Nov. 1997 Wilma lost her husband Clarence to cancer. Wilma continued to live in Orchard until she passed away on the 21st of April.

Wilma is survived by one sister, Darlene Carlsen of Sgt. Bluff, Ia. her four children Barb (Kieth) Kennedy of Page, Ne, Sam (Dona) Statler of Renton, Wash, Jim (Mary Jane) Statler of Long Pine, Ne. and Bonnie (Kieth) Schlote of Neligh, Ne. 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In Lui of flowers the family asks that all remembrances be made to the Asera Care Hospice of O'Neill, Ne.
