Mark William Mullins was born on September 21, 1979 at the Osmond General Hospital to James “Jim” and Gaye (Snodgrass) Mullins.

Mark grew up in the Plainview/Brunswick area, attending Plainview Public Schools. He was baptized and confirmed in the Congregational church in Brunswick, Nebraska. He was a 10 year member of Kountry Kids 4-H group. He began working on cars in his parents garage at the age of 13. He played soccer, baseball and was a member of the Plainview Pirate football team. He was Homecoming King and President of his senior class.

After graduating, Mark chose to continue his love of auto mechanics by attending Northeast Community College in Norfolk. He obtained an associates degree in automotive repair. After school, he bought a business for auto repair in Brunswick and named it 2M repair ( for Mark Mullins). He ran a very busy and successful business.

Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman. He once stated that “fishing was his first love.”

Throughout his life, he made many, many friends. Friends were family and family were friends to Mark. From an early age he would bring lots of kids home. Mark always traveled in groups. He was loved by everyone. He was always a lot of fun to be around.

He met Alison Arehart in the summer of 2005. She asked him out in October of 2005. Mark asked Alison to marry her on December 25, 2006. He had her son, Collin, give her the ring. They were married May 31st of 2008 in Brunswick, Nebraska. Mark adopted Collin in the spring of 2009. They had their first child together on October 13, 2009. Mark was a great dad to both Collin and Carter. He was very involved in both their lives. He taught Collin how to drive, fish and fix many things. Collin was his little shadow.

Mark suddenly fell ill on Friday, May 14th. He passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center on Friday, Mary 21st.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Gaye Mullins of Plainview, two brothers, Greg Mullins of Plainview and Chad Mullins and girlfriend Kim Ruge of Creighton, his wife Alison and two sons Collin and Carter of Royal, his in-laws Tom and Donna Arehart of Orchard. His sisters in-law Tonya Eacker and children Katelyn, Emily, Skylar and Logan, Stephanie Arehart and fiancé AJ Clifton and children Gunnar, Tessa and Annabella and many, many family and friends.

He will be missed but please remember what Mark would say “Party On!”.

A viewing will be held at the Plainview High School gymnasium on Tuesday, May 25th from 3-7 PM with a memorial service at 7PM. The funeral will be at 10AM on Wednesday Mary 26th,also at the Plainview high school gymnasium. Burial will be at the Pleasant Ridge cemetery southwest of Plainview.
