Amy Marie Leimer

Funeral Services for Amy M. Leimer, age 88, of Brunswick, NE, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview, NE with Rev C. Brian Bucklew, Officiating. Burial will be at Brunswick Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Amy passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 Neligh Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neligh. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh is handling arrangements. Amy Marie Leimer was born on August 14, 1929 to Charles and Martha (Jackson) Striker at Ericson, NE. She was raised in Ericson til the age 17 when she married Rueben Leimer in Ord, NE on December 22, 1946. Amy’s wedding cake was a fruit cake and was why she made it every Christmas. They lived outside of Bancroft, NE. Where they raised 12 children on a family farm. She was a great cook, canned for the winter, sewing, and making the best homemade bread ever tasted. Amy lived a short while outside Wausa then they moved to Brunswick, NE in 1990. Amy lived there very happily till 2016 when she moved to Neligh Care and Rehabilitation Center; a prisoner of the disease dementia.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Russell (Joyce) Striker. Children: Perry (Bonnie) Leimer of Grant, NE, Gary (Sue) Leimer of Uehling, NE, Stanley (Betty Lynn) Leimer of Southside, TN, Janice Leimer Kumm of WI, Rueben Jr (Karen) Leimer of Clarksville, TN, Albert (Wendy) Leimer of Merna, NE, Fred (Alisha) Leimer of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Louise Leimer Eggerling of Brunswick, NE, Glen (Beverly) Leimer of Lascassas, TN, Mary of New York. 50 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband (2005). 4 brothers: Robert Striker, Frank Striker, Elton Striker, and Thomas Striker. Daughters: Betty Ann Rosberg, and Susan Irvin Hicks. Grandchildren: Angela Leimer, Micheal Leimer, and Rueben Rosberg.
