Funeral Services Anita L. (Karash) Miller, age 66 of Neligh, NE were 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Calvary Bible Church in Neligh with Pastor Nathan Dick, Officiating. Music was provided by LuAnn Doerr. Burial was at 4:00 p.m. in the Bancroft City Cemetery in Bancroft, NE. Pallbearers were David Raasch, Ryan Albertsen, Scott Hansen, Bradley Gallup, Caleb Hansen, and Ralph Schram. Visitation was from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh. Anita passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 due to a UTV accident. Anita Louise (Karash) Miller was born on January 27, 1947 to Anthony and Sarah (Circo) LaFerla in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Omaha's Mercy High School in 1965. On April 24, 1968 she married Richard Karash I in Omaha and had 4 children. While living in Bancroft, she was a dental assistant and the Village Clerk. On September 16, 2000 she was united in marriage to Leonard Miller in Elgin, NE. While living in Neligh, Anita drove the Dial-A-Ride, owned Seconds on Main and had numerous rental properties. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. Anita volunteered at Northeast Nebraska Food Bank and The Red Cross. Anita enjoyed gardening, shopping, working, being with her family and playing with grandchildren. Survived by her husband, Leonard Miller of Neligh, Ne. Anita's 4 children and 8 grandchildren included: Roxanne (David) Raasch, Alexa, Paige, Elyse of Bancroft, NE, Melissa Bradfield (Ryan Albertsen), Bradley Gallup, Brynn Albertsen of Waterloo, IA, Abigail (Scott) Hansen, Caleb, Madison, Caden of Bancroft, NE, Richard Karash II (Tiffany Kaup) of West Point, NE. Former husband, Richard Karash I. 2 Sisters: Mary (Nick) Steffen of Papillion, NE and Angie (Bill) Keenan of Carter Lake, IA. Step Children: Mark (Heather) Miller, Zacharie, Austin, Caleb, Elizabeth, Vivian of Neligh, NE, and Melanie (Bill) Lanzana of Charlottesville, VA. Preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Lena Miller.
