Funeral Services for Barbara Wagner, age 83 of Oakdale, Nebraska were at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at United Methodist Church of Neligh, with Pastor Gary Ganger, Officiating. Music was provided by Marie Krohn, Pianist and Melissa Henery, Soloist. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery in Oakdale, NE. Pallbearers were Jeremiah Wagner, Dustin Herfel, Ryan Schulz, Josh Johnston, Jesse Johnston, Ryan Schulz, Matt Henery, Marty Henerey. Honorary Pallbearers were Megan Novotny and Melissa McCart. Visitation was from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh, NE. Barbara passed away April 27, 2013 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, NE.
Arrangements are being conducted by Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Neligh. Barbara Ann Wagner was born on January 26, 1930 to William and Grace (Kinney) Ladwig in Petersburg, NE. She graduated for Neligh High School with the class of 1948. On September 3, 1950 she was united in marriage to Maurice Wagner in Neligh. They lived in Neligh a short time before moving to the country and farmed. They farmed in the Tilden Oakdale area until they moved to Oakdale in 1979.She was a homemaker and babysat. She enjoyed watching baseball on TV, crocheting, and bowling. Barbara was a member of Norfolk VFW Auxiliary and United Methodist Church of Neligh. Barbara is survived by her son, Lynn Wagner of Oakdale, NE; daughters, Janet Johnston of Norfolk, NE, Paula Berry of Meadow Grove, NE, Julia (Richard) Schulz of Albion, NE. Son-in-law, Charlie Henery of Neligh, NE. 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren. Sister-in-law Margaret Christiansen of Neligh, NE, Verona Wagner of Tilden, NE, Rita Wagner of Scottsbluff, NE, and Lois Wagner of Norfolk, NE Preceded in death by her parents and husband. Daughter, Ann. Son-in-law, Bob Berry. 6 Brothers and Sisters.
