Funeral Services for Betty Sanderson age 93 of Oakdale, NE will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh, NE with Pastor Paul Dittmer, Officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at the funeral home in Neligh. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Betty passed away July 2, 2015. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Betty Lou Sanderson was born on June 5, 1922 to Frank and Celia (Hallstead) Sonnenfelt at Casper, WY. She grew up and attended school in Casper and later they moved to Cody where her family lived on a ranch. On December 23, 1973 she was united in marriage to Harold "Sandy" Sanderson at Onawa, IA. Betty was a cook at Imperial for 30 years. Betty liked making dolls and collecting them, going out to eat with Kriss, and she liked to dance. She was a member of Betty Club. She is survived by her son, Kriss Sanderson of Columbus, NE and step sons: Jim and Phyllis Sanderson of Oakdale, NE, Dick and Carol Sanderson of Norfolk, NE, Bob and Annette Sanderson of Denison, IA. Step daughter: Audrey Thiemann of Neligh, NE and step daughter-in-law Cindy Sanderson of Oakdale, NE. 30 grandchildren and 30 plus great grandchildren. Sister: Bonnie Eatherton of Grand Island, NE. Brothers: Richard Sonnefelt of Verdigre, NE, and Cecil and Leatha Sonnenfelt of Grand Island, NE. Proceeded in death by her parents and husband (1995). Son: Sunny Stone. Step son, Mike Sanderson and step son-in-law, J.R. Brothers: Robert James, and George. Sisters: Ruth Ann, Dorothy, and Connie.
