Beverly Jean Thramer was born on March 23rd, 1963, in Neligh, Nebraska and baptized at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ewing, Nebraska. She attended school in Ewing and graduated in 1981. Bev went on to college at Northeast Nebraska Technical Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She is survived by her parents, J. Alex & Joyce (Kerkman) Thramer; sisters Linda Wingett, Ewing; Vonnie Kresge & husband, Paul of Lafayette, Colorado; Carol Jackson, Lafayette, Colorado, and Teena Albert and husband, Tony, of Omaha. Three brothers, Joe Thramer and wife Nancy, Spalding, Chuck Thramer & wife RoseAnn of Omaha, Nebraska; Pat Thramer and wife, Deb, Ewing, Nebraska. 28 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews, including 3 Godchildren: Tara Thramer Coppola, Makala Ruroede Peed and PVT Derek Thramer.

Bev was preceded in death by her grandparents, her nephew, Joshua Thramer, Godmother Mary Kerkman, extended family members and her beloved 4-legged best friend, Haley.

She moved to Lafayette, Colorado in 1982 and began her career in accounting at United Van Lines for 6 years. In 1988 she joined International Language Engineering, Inc., as Accounting Manager for 11 years. She then decided she was finished with the corporate world and pursued her dream of traveling. After completing bartending school in Denver, Colorado and received her Certified Mixology Degree, she hit the road and the water. Her first stop in her travels was the U.S. Virgin Islands, then onward to Newport, Rhode Island, Naples, Florida, back to the Virgin Islands and finally landed in Honolulu, Hawaii. Honolulu was her home for the past 8 years where she was employed as manager of Cabana’s Pool Bar Ohaha West Hotel on Waikiki Beach. She was a member of the Star By The Sea Catholic Church in Waikiki. Bev had a tremendous love and devotion for her parents and family and was always “there” for them. She loved bringing her warm Hawaiian culture to share during the cold Christmas seasons in Nebraska. Mele Kalikimaka! (Merry Christmas!). She made many life-long friends and touched many lives with her positive attitude, fearless determination, cheerful smile and her faith in God. She enjoyed reading, photography, games with her family and was the eternal party planner. She was a loyal fan to her native Ewing Tigers, Huskers and Wheeler Central Bronco’s, and Denver Broncos; she wore their colors proudly. Bev was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer in December of 2009, and underwent surgery in January, followed by her 1st chemo treatment in February. She died suddenly from a bacterial infection. Her Hawaii family was by her side as she peacefully went home to God. Aloha!
