David A. Wright Ewing � Funeral Services for David A. Wright age 67 of Ewing will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 9, 2007 at St. Peter�s Catholic Church in Ewing with Father Bill Safranek, officiating. Burial will be in St Patrick�s Cemetery of Rural Clearwater. Military rites will be conducted by Sanders Am. Legion Post #214 of Ewing. Visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 5- 8:00 pm with a 7:30 prayer service all to be held at St. Peter�s Catholic Church in Ewing. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is handling the arrangements. David passed away July 5, 2007 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill after a lengthy battle with cancer. David Allen Wright was born on November 8, 1939 in Stafford Nebraska, the son of Earl & Fern (Butterfield) Wright. He grew up in Ewing, Nebraska. Attended country grade school and Graduated in 1957. He went into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1957 and was discharged in 1959. He was united into Marriage August 19, 1961 to Marcene Schmiser at St. John�s Catholic Church. They made their home on a ranch west of Ewing most of his life. David was on the Ewing School Board for 16 years, a member of Sanders American Legion Post #214 of Ewing. He was involved with Cursillo, Christians Encounter Christ, Ewing Mens prayer group, St. Peter�s Catholic Church. He enjoyed a football game on T.V., old western movies, reading western book, and playing cards. He is survived by his wife Marcene Wright of Ewing, 2 sons David Joe & wife Joan Wright of Neligh, NE, Dennis & wife Jan Wright of North Platte, NE, 2 daughters Diann & husband Stephen Thomas of North Platte, NE, and Doris & husband Mike Foster of Council Bluffs, IA, and 10 Grandchildren. A sister Vivian Tuttle of Ewing, Fred & his wife Bev Wright of Oakdale, Steve Wright of Inman, and George Wright of Inman. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Joseph.
