Memorial Service for Donald D. Allen age 75 of Norfolk, NE will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Beyers Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh, NE with Pastor Bruce Phillips, Officiating. Donald passed away on April 27, 2019 at St. Joesph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Donald D. Allen was born on December 20, 1943 to Gordon and Evelyn (Gadeken) Allen in Neligh. He attended high school in Neligh and graduated with with the Class of 1961 and attended Northeast College in Norfolk. He enlisted in the National Guard for 7 years. He worked at the school as the maintenance man at Norfolk Junior High School for many years. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and hunting. He was the member of the Eagles Club and American Legion Post #16 of Norfolk.
Survived by his son, Michael Allen of Omaha, NE. Brother, Wayne and wife, Lisa Allen of Green Valley, AZ. Nieces: Royce Quinn of Hamilton, IA; Lynda Reid of Maxwell, IA; Carla Peltier of Chicago, IL; Mandy Corriea of Chehalis, WA and Misty Simmons of Ollela, WA. Nephews: Steven Luft of Des Moines, IA; Kenneth Allen of Federal Way, WA; Bryan Allen of Mill Creek, WA. Great nieces: Mandy Corriea of Chehalis, WA and Misty Simmons of Ollala, WA.
Preceded in death by his parents. Sister, Janice Luft.
