Doris Ruth Annable Memorial Services for Doris Ruth Annable age 79 of Neligh were Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Bible Church in Neligh with Pastor Scott Pape, Officiating. Music was provided by Alice Busshardt. Burial was Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska. Pallbearers were Jim Annable, Alex Annable, Andrew Annable, John Webb, Harpreet Parmar, and Mark Roush.

Doris passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Neligh.

Doris Ruth Annable was born on April 19, 1930 to Russell and Gladys (Myers) Leister at Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, class of 1948. After completing secretarial courses in Gettysburg, was hired by Doubleday as a proof reader until she met and married the love of her life Richard Annable of Alliance Nebraska. They were married on July 18th 1954 in Hanover and spent the last few years living in retirement in Neligh, Nebraska. She loved to oil paint and she was quite the artist.

She is survived by her brother Donald Leister of Hanover, PA. Her children, James Annable and wife Terry of Winchester, VA., Judy Webb and husband John of Neligh, NE. Doris has 7 grandchildren: Melanie Parmar, Michaela Roush, Kate Feist, Alex, Andrew, Jenna, and Victoria Annable, and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard. Memorials can be directed to Grand Island Veterans Home, Special Care Unit.
