Funeral Services for Dorothy M. Johnston age 92, of Clearwater, were 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ewing, Ne with Rev. Stuart Davis and Kevin Strope, Officiating. Music was provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, Organist and Matthew Yoder, Soloist. Visitation was from 5:30-7:30 Friday, February 7, 2014 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, Ne. Burial was in Orchard Hill Cemetery at Orchard, Ne. Pallbearers were Brent Clodgo, Michael Clodgo, Matthew Yoder, Nathan Clodgo, Kristopher Strope, and Kelly Joe Eisaman. Dorothy passed away February 2, 2014 at her home. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ewing. Dorothy Mae Johnston was born on December 20, 1921 to William and Martha (Kohlhof) Shrader on the farm rural Ewing, Ne. She graduated with the Class of 1939 from Ewing High School. On December 20 1941 she married Archie E. Johnston in Ewing. She was a homemaker, bank teller at Citizen State Bank in Clearwater for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, birds, and playing cards. Dorothy and Archie liked to square dance and travel. Spending time with her family was very important to her. She was member of Jolly Workers Club, United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ewing church for 67 years, and Women Missionary. She volunteered with 4-H, blood bank, and community fundraisers. She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Strope of Huntsville, Al, Marilyn and her husband Keith Yoder, of Carmel, In, and Barbara and husband Ken Conte of Plano, TX. 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great grandchildren. Sisters: Mary Lou Wettlaufer of O'Neill, Ne and Betty Gunter of Orchard, Ne. Preceded in death by her parents and husband. Sisters, Ruth Ann and Alice. Brothers, Willie and Eddy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Ewing
