Celebration of life services for Dwaine Kenneth Marshall age 53 of Independence, MO will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Burial will be in the Clearwater Cemetery. Military Rites by Clearwater American Legion Post #267. Mr. Marshall passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
Dwaine Kenneth Marshall was born Dec 4, 1958 to James K. and Dorothy Marshall at the Neligh hospital. He died in Independence, Mo on May 8, 2012 from complications of a major stroke. Dwaine grew up on a farm southwest of Clearwater. He attended District 60 through the 8th grade, and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1977. He enlisted into the Air Force and served as a weather specialist. He was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, followed by a 2 year tour in Panama. He then left the Air Force, and attended the University of Nebraska. Upon graduating with a BA, he reentered the Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. Following assignments in Arizona, Korea, and S. Carolina, he was discharged in Dec 1992. He lived in Florida for 4 years, and later moved to the Kansas City area. He worked for awhile as a truck driver, and then began a career with the I.R.S. His last job with the IRS was as a manager in the examine department in Kansas City, Mo. He made his home in Independence, Mo He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include brothers, Ronald, Donald, and Dallas, and sister, Linda, along with 9 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the love of his life, Benita Blair and her children, Abby and Nathan.
