Funeral Services for Gary Hanson age 75, of Clearwater were 10:30 am, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Pastor Carroll Plisek, officiating. Music was provided by Bob Sisson, Soloist. Burial was at Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shane Ahlers, Derek Ahlers, Justin Ahlers, Kyle Hanson, Ethan Hanson, and Luke Thiele. Honorary Pallbearers were Echo Thiele, Alicia Thiele, Erika Thiele, Laura Hemenway, Andrea Ebke, Amber Tanner, Lischelle VanEngen, Ashley Hanson, and Rachal Hanson. Visitation was 5:00 - 7:00 Friday, December 10, 2010 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Hanson passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh.
Gary Martin Hanson was born on December 13, 1934 to Max and Gladys (Bennett) Hanson in Clearwater, Nebraska. He attended Clearwater Public High School and graduated with the class of 1953. On June 24, 1956 he married Marjorie Stamp. Gary worked at the Chevy Garage with his dad in Clearwater selling cars and then went to Hiway Service in Clearwater. He enjoyed trains, boating, and camping.
He is survived by his children: Sherri and husband Don Ahlers of Clearwater, NE, Kenneth and wife Cyndi Hanson of North Platte, NE, Peggy and husband Rick Howe of O'Neill, NE, and Karol and husband Ron Thiele of Clearwater, NE. 15 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
