Funeral Services for Gary J. Ward age 66 of Ewing were Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing with Father Bill Safranek officiating. Burial was in the St. Peter's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rod Wright, William Wright, Edward Rotherham, Terry Wood, Kevin Gragert, and Steve Gragert. Music was provided by soloist Doug Wright, Bill O'Malley and James O'Malley. Doris Ann Bollwitt was organist. Visitation was at the church in Ewing from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2006 with a 7:00 pm wake service. He passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at his home in Ewing following a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Gary James Ward was born April 4, 1939 the son of James Charles and Elizabeth (Horn) Ward at Trenton Missouri. He grew up and graduated from Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California in 1957. On December 26, 1959 he married his wife of 46 years Sharon Ann Rotherham at Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in California where he was a Volvo master mechanic. In 1999 the couple moved to Ewing where they owned and operated the Two Rivers Motel. Gary was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He loved history, baseball memorabilia, Nascar and horse racing, woodworking and being a handyman. Survivors include his wife Sharon of Ewing, Children: Vicki and Craig Bollwitt of Ewing, Shelly Gillespie of O'Neill, Debbie and Sergio Ramos of Junction City, KS, Wendy Moscrop of Palm Desert, CA, Terri Stenz of Oklahoma City, OK, Jim and Darleen Ward of Simi Valley, CA, and Mary Reilly of Neligh; one brother Gavin Ward of Valencia, CA and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
