Funeral Services for Gary D. Wilkinson age 63, of Elgin will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Park Congregational Church rural Elgin with Rev. Ray Avidano officiating. Burial will be in the West Cedar Valley Cemetery of Elgin. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. He passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006 at his home. Gary Duane Wilkinson was born February 20, 1943 at Elgin, Nebraska the son of Robert Max and Irene Elizabeth (Von Bonn) Wilkinson. Gary was baptized in the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin. He graduated from Elgin High School with the class of 1961. On October 6, 1962 at the Congregational Church in Neligh he was united in marriage to Sharon Twiss. The couple made their home west of Elgin where they were engaged in farming. Gary was a member of the Elgin Volunteer Fire. Dept. and also served on the Central Farmer�s COOP Board. He enjoyed stock car racing, Jammin� in the Park and card parties. Survivors include his wife Sharon Wilkinson of Elgin; 3 children: Brian and his wife Carma Wilkinson of Cottage Grove, MN, Karin and her husband Mark Polifka of Ellis, KS, and Robert and his wife Sue of Lincoln, NE: 7grandchildren: mother Irene Wilkinson of Elgin,NE: 3 brothers; Ron and Sharon Wilkinson of Elgin,NE; Max �Bud� and Tarri Wilkinson of Elgin,NE, Earl �Dean� and Linda Wilkinson of Oakdale,NE; a sister: Lois and Al Buffington of Fort Collins, CO. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Max Wilkinson; and a sister Patsy Wilkinson.
