Goldie Nore Funeral services for Goldie Nore age 94 of Norfolk was Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:30 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with Pastor Daniel Feusse, Officiating. Music was provided by Caroline Jaeke. Special Music was provided by Jace and Sharon Nore. Pallbearers were Sevin Nore, Jace Nore, Dennis Mitchell, Tim Higgins, Foster Collins, and David Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers were the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009. at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Goldie passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is handling the arrangements.

Goldie was born on December 1, 1914 to Arthur and Florence (Hilliard) Roth in Clearwater, Nebraska. Goldie was Baptized February 28, 1915 and Confirmed on June 30, 1929 at Zion Lutheran Church of Clearwater. She grew up and attended Clearwater High School and graduated. She was united into marriage to Simon Nore in Clearwater, Nebraska. They were married for 66 years. Goldie was an active farm wife working in the fields, helping with the livestock and raising chickens. She was known as a good cook by the family and farm hands. Si and Goldie retired from the farm in 1975 and moved into Clearwater. In 1990 they moved to Norfolk and lived next door to her son, Carl. She was one of the first persons to be taught how to do in home kidney dialysis by Bryan LGH of Lincoln. She took the challenge to care for her beloved husband whose kidneys returned to full function. Goldie taught herself to knit and was known for her baby blankets, of which she made over 100. Goldie resided at Madison House for 1 year and at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk since March of 2003. She was known by all as a kind and a gentle woman. She was Charter Member of the Elkhorn Valley Home Extension. She also was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She served as secretary of the church council. She was a member of the Ladies Aide for 52 years.

She is survived by her two sons, Philip and wife Sharon Nore of Lincoln, Nebraska and Carl and his wife Sharyn Nore of Norfolk, Nebraska. Grandchildren; Kim Collins of Lincoln, Jace Nore of Lincoln, Gina Higgins of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Paula Mitchell of Norfolk, Nebraska, Sevin Nore of Norfolk. Sisters, Ardella June and husband Jim Pierce of Denver, Colorado and Shirley Phipps of Devine, Texas. 12 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brothers; Dwight, Lester, and Dorsey. A grand daughter Jill Nore.
