Ina Bennett Funeral Services for Ina Bennett age 92 of Wahoo, Nebraska formally of Ewing, Nebraska, will be Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 10:00 am at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ewing with Pastor Eric Ford, Officiating. Pallbearers are Matthew Shrader, David A. Shrader, Gordon Shrader, David Shrader, Bruce Morrow, and John Shrader. Honorary Pallbearers are Leo O'Dea, Harold Bennett, Steve Waples, Bob Napier, Willie Shrader, and Marvin Steskal. Burial will be at the Ewing City Cemetery in Ewing. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 5 to 7 p.m at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Ina passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Wahoo, Nebraska.

Ina Bennett was born on January 12, 1917 to Elmore and Anna (Plummer) Bennett southwest of Clearwater, Nebraska. She attended country school and Graduated with the Class of 1934 from Ewing High School with a Normal Training endorsement on her Diploma. Ina began her teaching career immediately after high school in a country school in Holt County. Along with teaching in several country schools, she also taught in Clearwater and Page during her 38 year career. Ina also attended Wayne State College for many summers pursuing her advanced degrees. She was a huge baseball fan and attended many major league games during her later years. She was a lifelong member of the Order of Eastern Star in Orchard. She was a member of the Ewing Methodist-Presbyterian church council and taught Sunday School there for 40 years.

Ina is survived by many Nieces and Nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Brothers: Wilbur Bennett and James Bennett. Sisters: Flora Young, Ruth Waples, Edna O'Dea, and Lavinia Nutt.
