Janice Leona Swan

Celebration of Life for Janice L. Swan age 76, of Neligh, NE will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Club in Clearwater, NE. Janice traded her earthly body for her heavenly suit peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences maybe directed to the family at www.beyersnidermemorialfh.com Janice Leona Swan was born on March 4, 1940, to Waldo and Lola (Law) Shearer at Oshkosh, NE.  She attended Garden County High School and graduated with the Class of 1958.  She was united in marriage to Benjamin Willis Swan on June 26, 1959 in Oshkosh, NE. They enjoyed 52 years together.  Janice was a lifelong caregiver, with her children, her mother, and her husband. Since the passing of her husband, she became an online missionary, counseling new believers in their faith. Together with her husband, they built their own homes wherever they lived. She enjoyed Sewing, reading, crafts, and most of all her grandkids. Her truest desire was to love, serve, and be with Jesus every day of her life. Not only did she show this through her daily walk, but also through those she touched and ministered to all around the world. Janice belonged to the Golden Grannies and was a member of the "Club" Christ Love Uniting Brethren. Janice was a life-long evangelist. She made it a point to tell everyone she met about the love of Christ she experienced through her own life and how they too could walk with Him. Survived by her children: Martin Willis Swan of Oceanside, CA, Tricia and Peter Albright of Sioux City, IA, Maranda Lopes of Lincoln, NE, and Craig and Lia Heckert of Neligh, NE. Grandchildren: Benjamin and Tori Albright of Sioux City, IA, MacKenzie Albright of Sioux City, IA, Courtni, Emma, Hailey, Mercedes, Victoria, and Hadassah. Brother: Ronald and Marlis Shearer of Lisco, NE. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brothers: Raymond, Donald, and Russell.
