Funeral Services for Jessie Neal, age 101, of Fremont, Ne will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Pastor Jim Brooks, officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 4 - 8 pm at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Burial will be in the Clearwater Cemetery.
Jessie passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at AJ Merrick Manor in Fremont, NE.
Jessie Edna Neal , the daughter of Bunn F. and Meta (Lantz ) Scott, was born on January 16, 1909 at Lexington, Ne. She was raised and received her education at Chadron, Ne. On April 6, 1931 she was united into marriage George Neal in Neligh, Ne. She did domestic work and worked at bakery in Clearwater, Ne. Jessie also did upholstery work on the farm and in town until 1996 when she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Clearwater. She was involved with many groups, Clearwater Creek Extension Club, the Bowling league, and senior Citizen group. She was a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
Jessie is survived by daughter, Elayne and husband Don Luben. 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews. Friends and neighbors.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband on August 7, 1988, and son, Clark Neal. 4 sisters and 2 brothers. A great granddaughter.
