Funeral Service for Kenneth L Barlow age 73 of Ewing, NE will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater,Ne with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be Ewing City Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Sanders American Legion Post #214 and Legion Riders. Kenneth passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE. Condolences may be directed to the family at

Kenneth L. Barlow son of Kenneth and Frances (Spangler) Barlow was born on August 27, 1944 in Rural Ewing, NE. He graduated from Ewing High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United State Army at Omaha on March 14, 1963 he was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Schweinfurt Germany and was discharge on May 23, 1964 from Ft. Hamilton, NY. While in the service he was united in marriage to Pauline Jorgensen on May 28, 1963 in Mitchell, SD. They had 2 daughters; Janet and Susan and son, Monty Nelson. Ken had a passion for the good ole outdoors. Loved trapping, fishing, coon hunting, and Corn Husker Football and watching the Cubbies. Enjoyed telling stories to his grandkids and great grandchildren and spending time with his good ole friends! He was a member of Sander Legion Post #214 in Ewing.
Survived by his wife Pauline of Ewing, NE. Children: Janet and husband Dan McLain of Ewing, Ne, Susan and husband Todd Hobbs of Ewing, NE, and Monty and wife Carlie Nelson of Kearney, NE. 8 grandchildren: Quint (Chelsi) McLain, Kyle Hobbs and (Amber), Brooke (Adam) Dillon, Taylor Hobbs, Chad, Tanner, Josh, MaKenzie, and Drew Nelson. 5 great grandsons, Trey and Jayce Dillon; Tucker, Dawson, and Carson McLain. 3 sisters: Donna (Leroy) Lyons of Long Pine, NE; Joan (Leonard) Hawk of Ewing, NE; and Vera (Lonnie) Eacker of Ewing, NE. 2 brothers: Garry (Lorie) Barlow of Ewing, NE, Larry (Lynne) Barlow of O'Neill, NE.
Preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, Tom Barlow and Jack Barlow. 1 sister-in-law Lavonne Barlow and baby.
