A Memorial Service for Larry Dean Lucas age 77 of Aurora, CO were 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at United Methodist Church in Clearwater, NE with Pasor Carroll Plisek, officiating. Music was provided by Carol Thiele. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery. Larry passed away on June 7, 2011 in Aurora with his family at his bedside.

Larry was born in Clearwater, NE on October 15, 1933; the third child of Arthur Nelson Lucas and Ruth Fern Kimes. Larry grew up in Clearwater, NE. He played baseball in high school and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 – 1956. He was a Realtor in the Denver metro area for 40 years. He was also heavily involved in the prison ministry at his church and took pride in making a difference in the lives of many incarcerated young men. He is survived by daughter Lisa Ann Otto, & grand children Angela L Otto and Cory R Otto, & great grand children Xavier Ray Otto & Emma Fay Otto. He is also survived by sons Lee Arthur Lucas & John Arnold Lucas, father of grand children Jacob Tyler Lucas & Rachel June Lucas;
daughters Laura Jeanne Hansen & Janet Lee Hayes mother of grand daughter Alexandra Rachelle Hayes, with second wife Ethel Janice Lucas. He is survived by sisters Lois Elaine Bennett & Lorna Rae Koenig Larry was preceded in death by sibling Jackie Dwayne Lucas & first wife Joan Catherine Robinson.
