Memorial Visitation for Larry Walton age 78 of Orchard will be 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, Ne. Larry passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, NE. Larry Eugene Walton was born on July 30, 1938 to Cecil and Jennie (Bruce) Walton at Venus, Nebraska. He attended country school. On January 7, 1959 he was enlisted in United States Army and was discharged on December 19, 1960. May 22, 1971 he was united in marriage to Betty Krutz in Orchard, NE. Larry was a gunsmith and farmer. He enjoyed hunting, guns, playing cards, gardening and cooking. He is survived by his children: Andrew "AJ" (Debra) Walton of Plattsmouth, NE, Carol (Doug) Hahlbeck of Ewing, NE, and Stacy Walton of Orchard, NE. Grandchildren: Ty Hahlbeck, Katie Hahlbeck, Andrew Jr. "Drew" Walton, Brooklyn Walton, step grandchildren: Justin and Alyssia. Sister, Mary Ann (Lefty) Robinson of Blair, NE and brother, David (Betty) Walton of Franklin, NE. Sister-in-laws Nila (Richard) Bolli of Burwell, NE, Julia (Wayne) Schacht of Orchard, NE, Patty (Ron) Mehrkens of Cannon Falls, MN, Linda (LeRoy Carlson of Orchard, NE and brother-in-laws, Miles (Robin) Krutz of Hastings, NE and Bob (Bev) Krutz of Orchard, NE. Preceded in death by parents and wife. Sisters, Margaret Risinger and Alice Kotrous. Brothers, Bill Walton, Archie Walton, Bruce Walton, Robert Walton, and brother in infancy. Mother and father-in-law Ferd and Bessie Krutz.
