Marie Ellen Damme Funeral services for Marie Ellen Damme age 65 of Clearwater were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater. Music was provided by Caroline Jaeke, Organist; Bruce Hallman, Soloist. Pallbearers were Steve Anderson, Rodney Klabenes, Scott Petersen, Troy Stelling, Jeff Kallhoff, Kevin Bearinger, and Thor Thonvold. Honarary Pallbearers were Chuck Kirshner, Ron Sanne, Ara Hague, Merlin Bolling, Tom Switzer, Tony DeMarco, Merlin Allemang, Gary Siems, Dave Baker, Don Maulding, and John Mlnarik. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.
Marie passed away December 20, 2009 at her home in Clearwater. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is handling the arrangements.
Marie Ellen Damme was born July 26, 1944 South of Clearwater, Nebraska to Russell and Wilda (Filsinger) Anderson. She was baptized October 1947 at Concordia Lutheran Church. She attended Sunnyside School and then graduated from Clearwater High School in 1962. On September 22, 1962 she was united in marriage to John Damme at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Ne. Marie was a member of Concordia Lutheran Ladies Aid. She liked cooking, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband John; her Children: Debra and husband Alan Hemenway of Elgin, Ne, Todd and his wife Beth Damme of Neligh, Ne, Tony and wife Wendy Damme of Blair, Ne, Terri and husband Jason Branigan of Papillion, Ne and Patrick and wife Melissa Damme of Omaha, Ne. 14 Grandchildren. Sisters: Marjorie Tramp of Omaha, Ne, Jeanette Bearinger of Omaha, Ne, Julie Thonvold and husband Terry of Erwin, SD, Brothers Jim and wife Dianne Anderson of Clearwater, NE and Keith and wife Dorothy Anderson of Norfolk, Ne. Brother-in-law Don Klabenes. Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sister Joyce Klabenes, Grandson Jordan Branigan, and Brother-in-laws Linus Tramp and Jack Kallhoff.
