Funeral Services for Marilyn Fry, age 86 of Ewing were 10:00 a.m. November 21, 2011 at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ewing with Pastor Eric Ford, Officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Harpster, Organist and Matt Maxwell, Soloist. Burial was in the Ewing City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aaron Hoke, Kevin Fry, Dan Miller, David Shrader, Larry Montgomery, and Johann Fry. Honorary Pallbearers were Walter Miller, Leo Miller, Gordon Shrader, Clayton Hoke, Sy Coy, and Bill Woslager. Visitation was 4 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home. Marilyn passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, Ne. Marilyn Carol Fry was born on September 8, 1925 to Floyd and Grace (Weber) Napier in Ewing, NE. She attended Riverside Country School through the 8th grade and graduated with the class of 1943 from Ewing High School. After graduation she moved to Grand Island and worked as a telephone operator. On December 17, 1947, she was united in marriage to Lynn Fry in Ewing, NE. They made their home on the farm east of Ewing, and they celebrated 56 years together, until Lynn passed away in 2003. She loved her family, especially her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed keeping her house and yard in good order and loved to bake and cook. In her later years she loved to read and play cards with her friends on Fridays. She was a member of the Ewing United Methodist-Presbyterian Church and Seek and Share Club. She is survived by her children; Sheila and husband Bob Musil of Eugene, OR and Jack and wife Jeanne Fry of Norfolk, NE. Three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Sister, Gloria Montgomery of Ewing, NE. Preceded in death by her parents and husband. 2 brothers; Melvin and Dale.
