Funeral Services for Marilyn M. Goldfuss, age 75 of Clearwater, were at 10:30 am Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater, with Pastor Daniel Feusse. Music was provided by Caroline Jaeke, Organist and Bruce Hallman, Soloist. Burial was in the Clearwater City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd Damme, Terry Peterson, Arnold Stelling, David Durre, Tim Durre, and Cameron Louridsen. Honorary Pallbearers were Joshua Kelley, Jacob Kelley, Trevor Hallman, Dobrinca Hallman, Ryan Goldfuss, AJ Goldfuss, John Damme, and Buddy Warner. Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, September 17 , 2010 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home, Clearwater.
Marilyn passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Neligh, Ne.
Marilyn was born on May 10, 1935 in Clearwater, Nebraska to Lawrence and Mildred (Lee) Carlson. She attended Clearwater Public School. After graduating from the 8th grade Marilyn worked at Lubin's produce in Clearwater, Clearwater Telephone as an operator and the Lutheran Hospital in Norfolk. On November 18, 1956 she was united into marriage to Carl Goldfuss in Orchard, Nebraska. She enjoyed taking vacations and spending time with her grand children. She was an Avon lady in Lander and babysat for neighbors children. Marilyn was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her Husband, Carl. Children: Carla and husband Sean Kelley of Wasilla, Alaska, Gaylene and husband Bruce Hallman of Coleridge, Steven Goldfuss of Anchorage, Alaska, and Keith and wife Sharon Goldfuss of Anchorage, Alaska. Six grandchildren. Step-mother Ruth Carlson of Orchard. 11 half Brothers and Sisters: Dawayne and wife Marilyn Carlson of Orchard, Bill and wife Frances Grubbs of Brunswick, Raymond and wife Sandy Carlson of Neligh, Leo and wife Carol Whitehorn of Hartington, Ron and wife Earla Carlson of Norfolk, Leroy and Linda Carlson of Orchard, Duane and wife Irene Risinger of Orchard, Roger and wife Sylvia Cleveland of Orchard, Keith and Ellen "Jo" Doescher of Wayne, Larry and Audrey Carlson of Osmond. Sister-in-law Pauline Durre of Elgin, NE. Gene and wife Sharon Goldfuss of O'Neill, Johnny and wife Phyliss Goldfuss of Verdigre. Special extended family, John Damme, Bonnie Kallhoff, Shirley Stelling, Donna Petersen, and Irene Hampton.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Grandmother, Signa Lee. Half Sister Connie Henry. Brother-in-laws David Durre and Gerald Goldfuss. A nephew, Ron Durre.
