Funeral Services for Mark Schindler age 43 of Elgin were at 10:30 am Monday, June 25, 2007 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel R. Andrews officiating. Burial was in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Music was provided by Mark and Julie Dwyer and the St. Boniface Choir with Rosie Schueths organist. Pallbearers were Gene Selting, Merle Borer, Greg Tharnish, Bob Moser, Bob Koenig, Joe Koenig, Ryan Reestman, Jeff Leu. Visitation was from 4 to 8 pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin and with a 7:30 pm wake service at the Church. Mark passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Elgin is conducting the services. Mark Allan Schindler was born August 3, 1963 at Neligh Nebraska, the son of John & Joan (Stoltz) Schindler. He grew up in Elgin where he attended school at Elgin Pope John and graduated with the class of 1981. On November 4, 1988 he married Peggy Seger at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin and the couple made there home in Elgin where he was engaged in farming with his father and brother. Mark was a member of St. Boniface Church. He passionately enjoyed his family, friends, and farming operation; watching his children participate in various school events; being involved in the Elgin community; and getting together with his friends for a game of basketball. Mark was survived by his wife Peggy, and three children Melissa, Jake, and Ross all of Elgin. His Parents, John & Joan Schindler of Elgin. Sisters: Gwen & Dave Beckman of Elgin, Bev & Jim Funk of Clearwater, Marla & Don Neukirch of Yankton, SD, Brothers: Paul Schindler of Yuacipa, CA, Greg & Judy Schindler of Norfolk, Jeff & Tracey Schindler of Elgin. His Father & Mother-in-law Paul & Karen Seger of Atkinson and many nieces, nephews and friends.
