Funeral services for Maxine Eacker age 89, of Ewing were 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ewing, NE with Pastor Eric Ford, Officiating. Music was provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, organist and Matt Maxwell, soloist Burial was in Ewing City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Grandsons, Garry Eacker, Chris Eacker, Tom Eacker, Bill Eacker, Jeff Pick, Jesse Pick, Heath Smith, and Cory Eacker. Visitation was 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Maxine passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Neligh. Maxine Margaret Eacker was born July 30, 1921, in Ericson, NE to Clyde and Gladyce (Cudaback) Severns. Maxine graduated from Ericson High School in 1939. On October 9, 1939 Maxine married Thomas Eacker in Whittier, CA. Years following they resided in Ewing, NE. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She worked for Joyce and Alex Thramer at the Two Rivers Steak House and was an Avon representative. Maxine loved to read, do crossword puzzles, playing cards, dancing, singing, bake, playing piano, and keeping a close eye on all the Ewing Tigers and Husker games. She also enjoyed family get together. Maxine is survived by her sons: Garry and wife Cathie Eacker of Scottsdale, AZ and Lonnie and wife, Vera Eacker of Ewing, NE, Rick and wife Yoli Eacker of Papillion, NE. Daughters: Mary Lynn Risinger of Yankton, SD and Laurie Jo and husband Bill Smith of O'Neill, NE. 13 grandchildren and 18 great Grandchildren She is proceeded in death by parents. Her husband, Thomas in 1985. 4 children: Ardith Faye, Linda Lu, Dennis Gene, and Larry Lee.
She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.
