Funeral Services for Ralph Colfack, age 89 of Ewing, NE were at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Rev. Jeff Wulf, Officiating. Pallbearers were Chad Colfack, Casey Colfack, Jesse Colfack, Christopher Colfack, Eric Blair, Ryan Scamehorn, Jeff Krueger, and Beau Hepler. Honorary Pallbearers were Jamie Olson, James Harding, Wade Durrant, Marc Zelazny, and Don Schilouski. Burial was in Ewing City Cemetery with Military Rites by American Legion Sanders Post #217. Visitation was from 4 - 8 pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Ralph passed away on March 9, 2012. Ralph Colfack was born on January 15, 1923 to Fred and Coila (Strong) Colfack in O'Neill, Nebraska. He attended School in Ewing. Ralph entered into the United States Army on February 1, 1943 at Camp Dodge, IA. He was part of 3rd Army WWII under General Patton, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was discharge from Ft. Leavenworth, KS on January 3, 1946. On April 9, 1946 he was united in marriage to Audrey Klinetobe in Ewing, NE. He owned Colfack Iron and Metal. Ralph liked fishing and telling stories. He was a true Cornhusker football fan. He was a member of the American Legion Sanders Post #214 of Ewing and VFW. Survived by his wife, Audrey. Children: Ralph Jr. and wife Elynn Colfack of Goodyear, AZ, Dan and wife Tammy Colfack of Lehi, UT, Janelle and husband Don Blair of Surprise, AZ, Sherry and husband David Scamehorn of Litchfield Park, AZ, David and wife Linette Colfack of Lincoln, NE. 14 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in Death by Parents, Fred, Clarence Colfack, Audrey Zorns, Edrie Sheets, Stella, Maud, and Vernon Colfack; Ed Schilousky, Pat, Alvi, Bob, Alfred, Merle Schilousky. Ralph was a loving Husband and Father, who enjoyed life to the max.
