Memorial Services Tamzan Forslund age 70 of O'Neill, were 2:00 p.m.; Monday, November 14, 2011 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, NE with Pastor Wayne Smith, Officiating. Music was provided by Chris Forslund. Interment was in the Ewing City Cemetery. Visitation was one hour before Service. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Tamzan passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Omaha. Tamzan A. Forslund was born on July 26, 1941 in Ord, Nebraska to Hans and Althea (Posson) Petersen. She grew up in Ewing and attended school. The family moved to Neligh her senior year of high school. Tamzan graduated from Neligh High School with the class of 1959. On October 16, 1960, she was united into marriage to Merrell Forslund in Neligh, Ne. They made their home to Ewing, Ne. To this marriage they had 4 children, Fred, Pam, Andrew, and Philip. In 1984, they moved to Kansas for a short time. Until moving to Ord, NE until they retired in 1996 and moved to O'Neill. Tamzan enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and making quilts. She liked spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Merrell of O'Neill. 1 daughter, Pam Forslund of O'Neill, NE. Sons: Fred Forslund of O'Neill, NE, and Andrew and wife, Laura Forslund of Oakley, KS. Four Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Alan and wife, Lois Petersen of Neligh, NE and Elwood and wife Joan Petersen of Norfolk, NE. Sister: Maryetta and husband Lonny Miller of Norfolk, NE. Preceded in death by Parents, son, Philip.
