Funeral services for Walter H. Lange age 89 of Clearwater, Ne were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with Pastor Daniel Feusse. Caroline Jaeke as Organist. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rod Schlecht, Gary Wolfe, Dennis Sanne, Terry Sanne, Cory Allemang, and Dennis McKillip. Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Walt passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Walter Henry Lange was born October 30, 1923 in rural Ewing the son of Henry and Martha (Bloebaum) Lange. He attended Ewing High School and graduating with the Class of 1942. On October 1945, he married Evelyn Sanne. Evelyn passed away in November 1948. On March 3, 1956, he was united into marriage to Charlene Twiss Mummert at Concordia Lutheran Church. They lived in the Creighton and Aurora working for farmers in the area. Then they moved to Columbus where he worked for Co-Op Feed Mill. He retired in 1986. In 1998 they move to Clearwater. Walt liked gardening, yard work, fishing, and eating. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Charlene. Children: Elaine Vraspir of Neligh, NE, Cressel Mummert of Kalispell, MT, Russel Mummert of Clarinda, IA, Conda James of Columbus, NE. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother, Henry Lange of Grandview, MO. Sister, Elsie and husband Glenn Wolfe of Clearwater, NE. Preceded in death by his parents, first wife, brother Roger, and son LeRoy.
