Alice Faye (Halstead) Marx was born May 11, 1946, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lynch, NE, to Harold and Opal (Mellor) Halstead. Her family settled in Redbird, NE, on her grandad’s farm with siblings Larry, Doris, Bill, and Helen. Alice graduated from Lynch High School in 1964. They lived on the family farm west of Spencer, NE, for a few years before moving to O’Neill, where they began their new business, Quality Farm Center. Michael and Alice spent many hours building their business and raising their family. The family enjoyed flying in their plane, traveling to Colorado to see relatives, camping and going to Bogner’s to watch live entertainment - such as the Statler Brothers - and to enjoy great crab legs.
