Funeral services for Arlen "Fink" Finkral age 83 of Battle Creek will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 29th at the Home for Funerals Chapel at 708 Georgia Ave. Norfolk, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, June 28th from 5-8 P.M. at the Home for Funerals Chapel in Norfolk. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Arlen passed away June 25th at the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk.
Arlen Edward Finkral was born August 17, 1935 in rural Battle Creek, Nebraska to parents Edward and Irean Finkral (Bokamper). Arlen attended school at Battle Creek high School and graduated in 1953. He was united in marriage to Patsy Pacas in 1958 and were later divorced. To this union two children were born Dan and Jeff Finkral.
Arlen entered the U.S. Army in November 8, 1958 and was stationed in Germany. In November 11, 1964 he was Honorably Discharged and returned home to Norfolk and started working for Norfolk Truck and Equipment. Arlen then started a truck repair shop, F & R Repair with his good friend Ken Raile, after some time, Arlen moved to Battle Creek where he was self-employed in the trucking business. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, playing guitar, dancing and traveling with his special friend and soul mate Jeanne (Raile) Nelson.
Survivors include his children Dan and (Jacque) Finkral of Norfolk, Jeff and (Kelly) Finkral of Norfolk. Grandchildren, Courtney, Miranda and Dawson Finkral. Great grandchildren, Braylon and JeKai all of Norfolk, and very special and dear friend Jeanne (Raile) of Battle Creek.
Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Irean Finkral.
